How Everflame compares

The Australian field divides in two. Everflame does both sides.

The fundraising platforms on one side and the compliance and fund-accounting systems on the other. Set against both, this is what Everflame does — drawn at the level of category rather than scored brand by brand, since products change their features while the shape of the two sides holds.

“No cut of the gift” means Everflame’s platform fee is 0% of the donation. Card processing (~1.7% + 30c per transaction) is paid to the payment processor — never to Everflame — and donors can opt in to cover it.

The two sides today

The fundraising platforms — GiveNow, Raisely, Chuffed, Funraisin, and international tools such as Donorbox — do the donor-facing side well and leave the deeper compliance, the donor record and the reporting to a second system. The compliance and fund-accounting systems — enterprise suites such as Blackbaud Financial Edge and Sage Intacct, and donor-management houses such as DonorPerfect — hold the compliance and the multi-entity accounting but are not fundraising platforms and are priced for large institutions.

The seam Everflame closes

A charity of any complexity runs one tool from each side and reconciles between them by hand, or pays for an enterprise stack — the multi-entity body that good practice recommends served worst of all. Everflame is the one product that does both sides, building the Australian compliance and the multi-entity structure into the giving itself, at a price a small charity can meet and with a donor experience as capable as the tools that do nothing else.

The compliance is on us

One product, both sides, no reconciling.

The compliance earns it the institutions; the giving experience earns it the donors. The union is the thing nothing else in the Australian market puts in one place.
